- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Method
- Rinse the brown rice thoroughly and set it aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

- Add the brown rice to the saucepan and stir to combine with the vegetables.

- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan with a lid.
- Simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and allow it to sit for 5 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and stir in the chopped fresh parsley.
