For Manchurian Balls:- 1 cup of grated cabbage
- 1/2 cup of grated carrots
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped onions
- 2-3 finely chopped green chilies
- 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp of cornflour
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of black pepper powder
- Oil for frying
- 2 cups of cooked rice
- 1/2 cup of chopped onions
- 1/2 cup of chopped carrots
- 1/2 cup of chopped capsicum
- 2-3 finely chopped green chilies
- 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste
- 2-3 tbsp of oil
- 1 tsp of soy sauce
- 1 tsp of vinegar
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of black pepper powder
Equipment
For this recipe, you will need a frying pan, a mixing bowl, a knife, and a cutting board.Method
For Manchurian Balls:
- In a mixing bowl, add grated cabbage, grated carrots, finely chopped onions, finely chopped green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt, and black pepper powder.
- Mix all the ingredients well to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into small balls.
- In a frying pan, heat oil for frying.
- Add the balls to the hot oil and fry them until they turn golden brown.
- Once done, remove them from the oil and place them on a tissue paper to absorb excess oil.
For Fried Rice:
- In a frying pan, heat 2-3 tbsp of oil.
- Add chopped onions and saute them until they turn translucent.
- Add chopped carrots, chopped capsicum, and finely chopped green chilies.
- Saute the vegetables for 2-3 minutes on high flame.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for another minute.
- Add soy sauce, vinegar, salt, and black pepper powder.
- Mix well and add cooked rice to the pan.
- Mix the rice well with the vegetables and sauce.
- Add the fried Manchurian balls to the pan and mix them well with the rice.
- Turn off the flame and serve hot.
Notes
- You can add more or fewer green chilies according to your taste.
- You can also use leftover rice for this recipe.
- Make sure to fry the Manchurian balls until they turn golden brown to get the perfect texture.
- Do not overcook the vegetables while sauteing them.
