- 3 cups of water

Method
Follow these steps to make gravy rice:- Wash the rice in cold water and soak it in water for 30 minutes.

- Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and chopped tomatoes to the onions. Fry until the tomatoes become soft.
- Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt to the tomato mixture. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add 3 cups of water to the mixture and bring it to a boil.
- Drain the soaked rice and add it to the boiling water. Stir well and cover with a lid.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the rice cook for 15-20 minutes or until all the water is absorbed and the rice is cooked.
- Garnish the gravy rice with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
