The ingredients required for making Instant Rice Dhokla are:- 1 cup rice flour
- 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
- 1/4 cup curd (yogurt)
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 green chilli, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Eno fruit salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup water

Method
- In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, besan, curd, ginger paste, green chilli, sugar, salt, and oil.
- Add water little by little and mix well to form a smooth batter. The batter should be of pouring consistency.
- Grease a plate or tray with oil and keep it ready.
- In a steaming vessel or cooker, add water and bring it to a boil.
- Add Eno fruit salt to the batter and mix well. The batter will become frothy.
- Pour the batter immediately into the greased plate or tray and place it in the steaming vessel or cooker.
- Cover the vessel or cooker with a lid and steam the dhokla for around 15-20 minutes on medium flame.
- After 15-20 minutes, check if the dhokla is cooked by inserting a toothpick or knife in the center. If it comes out clean, the dhokla is ready.
- Take the plate or tray out of the steamer and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Cut the dhokla into pieces and garnish with coriander leaves, grated coconut, or any other toppings of your choice.
- Instant Rice Dhokla is ready to be served.
Notes
- Make sure to add Eno fruit salt just before steaming the dhokla, as it will start reacting immediately upon contact with the batter.
- Do not overcook the dhokla, as it will become hard and dry.
- You can also add grated carrots, beets, or any other vegetables of your choice to the batter to make it more nutritious.
