- 1 cup uncooked rice

- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 cups chicken broth

- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Heat a Dutch oven or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the hot Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking into small pieces with a wooden spoon, approximately 10 minutes.
- Remove the sausage from the pan and set aside.
- Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the pan and cook until softened, approximately 5 minutes.
- Stir in the rice, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the cooked sausage back into the pan and stir to combine all ingredients.
