Method
1. Rinse the brown rice, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds separately and soak them in water for 6-8 hours or overnight. 2. After soaking, drain the water and add the ingredients to a blender or wet grinder. Add water as needed and grind to a smooth batter. 3. Transfer the batter to a bowl and add salt to taste. Mix well. 4. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it ferment overnight or for 8-10 hours in a warm place. 5. After fermentation, mix the batter well and add water if needed to get a pouring consistency. 6. Grease the idli plates with oil and pour the batter into the moulds. 7. Steam the idlis for 10-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 8. Remove the idlis from the steamer and let them cool for a few minutes before removing them from the moulds. 9. Serve hot with chutney and sambar.Notes
