- Pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter
- Parchment paper
- Small microwave-safe bowl
- Piping bag
Method
- Melt the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl. Add the marshmallows and microwave for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until completely melted.
- Add orange food coloring to the melted marshmallow mixture and stir until the color is even.
- Add the Rice Krispie cereal to the bowl and stir until the cereal is completely coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Press the Rice Krispie mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Use a pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter to cut out pumpkin shapes from the Rice Krispie mixture.
- Melt the green candy melts in a small microwave-safe bowl according to the package instructions.
- Dip the top of each pumpkin-shaped Rice Krispie treat into the melted green candy melts and place it on a piece of parchment paper to dry.
- Use black piping gel to pipe on a jack-o-lantern face onto each pumpkin-shaped Rice Krispie treat.
- Let the treats cool and the candy melts set.
